Gary Ballard is a former world-ranked professional boxer with over 40 years of boxing experience and 25 years as a certified personal trainer. Originally from Durban, South Africa, Gary began boxing at the age of seven, winning multiple state and national championships throughout his amateur career. As a professional, he achieved the remarkable distinction of being ranked in the top 10 in three different weight categories, and in 1997, he was ranked #2 in the world in the super middleweight division, fighting for the world championship under renowned promoter Don King. After retiring from professional boxing in 1998, Gary transitioned into personal training, where he has spent the last two decades helping clients of all ages and fitness levels achieve their goals through boxing and personalized fitness programs. He now leads Ballard Boxing & Fitness, offering expert guidance for those seeking to improve their strength, agility, and overall health.
